Skating Party

After going to a friends skating party about a month before, Cameron decided he wanted his party at the same skating rink.  It was a close race between Putt Putt, Chuck E, and the rink, but in the end it won out.  So we packed up the family and invited the friends and headed 30 minutes down the road for an afternoon full of fun.  And fun we did have!  Lots of skating (or graceful falling depending on the person), laughing, friends, playing games, and dinosaurs!  All the kiddos had a blast and there were even some adults that braved the floor (reliving their glory days I'm sure).  The boys picked it back up pretty fast and were skating around feeling pretty confident in themselves, a vast improvement from the first time their little feet hit that floor... or should I say bottoms?!  Hayden even did pretty good (her skates were locked and didn't roll) but after about 30 minutes she kicked them off and ran around the rest of the time in her socks having a blast.

Most of Cameron's classmates didn't make it, but he didn't seem to mind.  The important friends were there and he felt super special on his day to be spoiled.  Afterwards, we headed to the park to play for a bit and then grabbed dinner at his choice, CiCi's (bet you wouldn't have guessed that).  Before the evening was over he and Daddy ran to the store and he picked out the Lego forest police station he had been wanting.

Such a special day to celebrate the birth of our sweet boy and the 7 years we have been blessed with!
