Everyone made it this year and the kids LOVED playing with their cousins. Lots of games, books, swimming, and a little TV watching. The boys were introduced to Gator Boys and thought it was the best show ever. It won't make it in our house for the long term, due to periodic adult language, but they enjoyed the few days they did get to watch it. The men had a day of golf and a day of fishing. Good news is that this year the fishing guide actually had a boat! Yes, despite the "misunderstanding" last year, the men allowed Cal to plan the fishing trip this year and he did indeed redeem himself. They limited out on fish in about 2 hours and we all enjoyed fresh fish for dinner that night. We made a trip to the local beach one day. Hayden loved the water and sand and the boys scoured the beach finding hermit crabs. It was all fun and games until Cameron got stung by a jelly fish. Luckily, it didn't last too long but he was ready to go by that point. The last night we stayed up late (most of us anyway) playing Hand and Foot and just enjoying our last night of freedom before getting back to reality.
My Favorites: Cannonballs in the pool; hurricane Debbie going to Florida instead of Texas; Cal playing bartender and making margaritas; watching dolphins swim out the back windows; eating good fish at a hole in the wall restaurant; naps; my Dad's tomatoes with cheese; playing Hand and Foot; Cal getting some much needed time off work; my kids laughing and having fun; family, family, family!
