Easter this year was amazing! My two favorite parts were getting to see family and going to a local retreat center that puts on an Easter celebration. They only have the center open the weekend before and the weekend of Easter and FINALLY this year we remembered before it was over. There is a beautiful statue garden to walk through and they also have a small "Jerusalem" set with actors that act out Passover and history at the time of Jesus. There was an area for the 10 plagues that went through Egypt before they released the Israelites. Truly an amazing experience for all of us! Hopefully the boys at least were able to visualize a bit more all of the stories they have heard about that time period... Hayden may have been a bit young, but she still got the experience of it.
Easter weekend we headed to San Antonio for some much needed country time! It has been awhile since we have been down so it was nice to get away and even get to take Daddy with us this time! Lots of food and fellowship, and the kids got to help work cattle for the first time too!
