Someone's Been Slacking

There has been so much going on that I think my head might explode!  Let's see, since I last posted the kids have finished school; baseball season has come to an end and BOTH boys made the All-Star teams; Hayden finished her dance class; we got a new kitten; we sold our house; Bryant lost his first tooth; and we are now living at Daddy's work!!!!  If that isn't crazy I don't know what is.  Lot's going on and since All-Star's has just started I'll leave that for another post...

Kitten:  Emmitt joined our family about 3 weeks ago.  Super cute and lots of fun, the kids are in love with him!  He's a little unruly but the 8,6, and 4 year old are slowly whipping him into shape and having a blast doing it.  The kids are constantly fighting over who gets to take him to bed and who was the last one to hold him.  He's been a trooper and true be told, I think B is his favorite (shhhh, don't tell the others).  If we can't find him when it is time to put him up at night, we always find him snuggled up with B in his bed.

School:  Everyone finished a great year at CCA.  All 3 got major compliments from their teachers this year for being well behaved and caring towards others.  Hayden's teacher even told me she nixed the end of the year awards because no matter what award she thought of - best artist, best listener, etc. Hayden would have won them so she just decided not to do any.  Bryant was blowing his teacher away with his reading and math skills.  She said he was even extremely helpful explaining things to the other kids that didn't understand.  Cameron got the highest marks he could for caring, compassion, honesty, and being trustworthy.  So incredibly honored and humbled to be their momma!  The costumes are from the end of the year performance... so fun!

Teeth:  B lost his first TWO teeth!  Good ol' B had to outdo his brother so he decided instead of losing his first tooth he would just go ahead and do two the same time.  He was a little nervous after watching Cameron lose a couple of his over the years, but when it came down to it he and daddy got it done!  Such a big boy growing up TOO fast!

Dance:  Hayden did dance for the first time this year.  She did two different performances during the school year and had remarkable improvement.  The first dance around Christmas she could barely focus long enough to finish, but the one at the end of school in her "pluto skirt" she nailed it!  She did all the moves she was supposed to and even looked like she was relaxed and having fun.  I never did dance growing up so seeing her up there having fun was really special.  She loved her teacher Ms. Shelly (coincidentally Cameron's best friends mom) and would always come home and talk about the things Ms. Shelly taught her.  I'm telling you, this girl is a tom-boy in a tutu and tons of fun to watch!  Great job sweet girl!
