My Three Inja's

Fall has officially begun and of course we are up to our fall activities.  A few weeks before Halloween we went to the local Farmer's Market and everyone got to pick out their own pumpkin!  Later that afternoon we did a little pumpkin carving.  Cameron was the only one brave enough to stick his hands in the pumpkin and clean it out!  We (as in mom and dad) finally got them all done and then everyone picked out their idea (courtesy of Pinterest) and the carving began.  Cameron did a lot of his own and the other two, well, they faded fast.  Once Daddy brought out the hot cocoa and cookies they were done.  They finished the evening running off  said goodies while we finished up the carving.  Everyone was happy with the finished products and were happy to call them their own!

Of course there was Halloween!  Three weeks before, I had convinced Hayden to wear her beautiful "Sunbrella" dress.  Unfortunately, two weeks before the boys got their ninja costumes and little sister felt left out.  Guess which mom had three ninjas (or "injas" as Hayden called them) for the night?  We had a great time and hit the school's trunk-or-treat and then scoured our neighborhood for the goods.  Our neighbor's all love the kids and were excited to see them... maybe a little too much as they ended up with 3 over-flowing BUCKETS of candy!  Ridiculous!!!

Finally, Daddy turned... thirty something?!  We had a celebration that night at home and the kids were happy to help make the cake (a family favorite).  The week before I asked them what they wanted to get Daddy for his birthday and they said, "Deer scent!".  We went to Wal-Mart and sure enough they had Doe scent... hysterical!!!  So, we not only bought Doe Scent but also Wild Boar Scent... happy hunting daddy!!!  Dinner, cake, and a little nicer present from mom and the evening looked a little brighter for the birthday boy ;)
