Birthday #6 was a lot of fun. I'm embarrassed to say, but yes, it was back at good ol' Chuck E. (at Cameron's request). Some things you just do for your kids, and for me going to CEC is one of them. It was nicer for me this time because Grandma and GiGi (Great-Grandma) came up to surprise Cameron. That meant 2 ladies to watch and entertain Hayden while I met all the mom's of Cameron's classmates and made sure the festivities flowed. He actually picked out his cake in October when we were picking out B's, so luckily there was little to plan. He had an absolute blast and we stayed WAY to late so he and Daddy could get enough tickets to buy the imitation Lego set he wanted. We probably spend 3 times more on games then if we would have just gone and bought the silly thing, but he was really excited in the end and got to spend some special time with Daddy. We got home and he opened his presents. Oh my goodness, do we have Legos! Seriously! When Cameron turned 5 he got a gun arsenal from his friends, and this year was the year of Legos! He loves them... well, after they are built anyway. He prefers to play with them and let Bryant (who loves putting things together) build them for him. I guess it is a win-win, unless he is feeling a little cantankerous that day and decides B can watch him play, but not participate... little stinker!
It was actually fun around here all weekend because Grandma and GiGi stayed until Sunday. Grandma was put to work all weekend building Legos and finished some new bedding for Hayden's room (that's a whole other post). It was the first time GiGi had been to our house, so we had fun showing her around and enjoying the company. She took us all out to dinner Saturday night to The Catfish Place (our family favorite) and the boys were excited because she even bought dessert... a special treat indeed!
Cameron had a great birthday and is still talking about all the fun he had. It's funny, but as much as I don't want him to grow up, 6 just feels right. Happy Birthday Cameron!

Legos - what are those?? ;) Happy Birthday Cameron!
totally Steph... maybe one day? I love C and B's faces when C's opening his present. Hilarious! And hopefully CEC is a boy thing because I feel the same way!
