Yesterday we had a lot of rain and by the afternoon the boys had WAY too much energy for such a small house. The remedy? Well, first they pulled off all the couch cushions (Cameron's favorite pastime as of late) and made tents and traps and who knows what all. But really. When there are 2 boys there has to be physical activity
and if wrestling isn't an option then you do whatever works. Like, playing in the rain. Yes, this OCD Mom let her boys run around the backyard in the rain and play in the mud. Sad that it was my idea and at first I had to make them go out, but after about a minute they were all in. They had races back and forth to the garden, ran circles around a tree (literally) and even slid down the slide and landed in the muck below. I'm glad my neighbor likes us and didn't call CPS because the boys had a blast running around and playing. Unfortunately, the fun came to a crashing halt after B fell face first in a huge mud puddle. His exact words, "This is not fun!" So they both got a quick rinse and then headed in for a long warm bath. I literally had to dig mud out of B's ears and nose and he still had a little residual mud in the corners of his eyes at bedtime. But oh did they have fun!

haha! poor B. Addie started taking all the cushions off of our couch and bouncing from one to the next. The other day she launched herself off the back of the couch onto her head! The girl gets more bruises on her face than anyone I know!
