The boys helped Grandpa drive the tractor, played on the tricycles, and conned anyone of driving age for a Ranger-ride. Yes, those are all the dogs hanging out in the back of the Ranger. The dogs might enjoy the rides a little more than the boys do but it is a close call. We went to the ranch (see previous post), and visited MiMi and GiGi (both of my Grandmas).
The highlight of the trip was that Grandpa gave the boys a cow! She is a 6 month old Brahma heifer (heifer = young female cow) that was recently weened from her mom. She will live with Grandpa and Grandma but we will get updates on her and have to decide how she is taken care of.
After a long list of suggestions Cameron decided to name her Ally. For a boy that normally comes up with names like "Puppy" for his puppy and "Bear" for his bear he was very picky about this cows name and came up with Ally all on his own.
I think the whole experience will be good for him, her ear tag number is 05, maybe now he will remember those numbers. Bryant likes to point at her and laugh. He's right, she is scraggly looking now but wait until she gets big!
