Yikes! Time is flying by and this poor little blog is a little neglected!! So, what's going on? Well, stuff. Lots of it!
Cameron:
This sweet boy has been working so hard this summer! All-Stars is keeping him busy but he is enjoying it. He is reading a lot and going to his "study group" twice a week (aka dyslexia therapy). He would be on the iPad or PS4 all summer if I let him, but lucky for him I'm smarter than that and he is using his imagination playing Lego's and battle and whatever else he and B come up with. This past school year was a little challenging for him: starting a new school, being diagnosed with dyslexia, and the death of a fellow 3rd grader. But he has proved that hardwork and lots of prayer make all the difference. He made lots of friends, was on the A honor roll all year, and kicked booty in his first STARR test! I'm so proud of him and all that he has accomplished this year. I hope one day he can show others that something like dyslexia can't hold you back. Keep rocking it buddy!!! Although there is some definite competition at times between he and B, he could not be sweeter to his sister. In fact, it is common for me to say, "Stop kissing her!" or "Let her go. She doesn't want a hug." He just can't help but be lovable. Humble and determined, this guy is going places!
Bryant:
This kiddo continues to amaze me. He made the All-Star baseball team and played catcher. He really took to it and did awesome holding down the plate. Several outs at home! Great job buddy! He is reading on a 4th grade level and decided 1st grade math was too easy so learned all of this multiplication tables instead. He is my snuggler. "Mom, Will you come snuggle with me?" My call everyday that this kiddo needs his love-tank filled with some mama time. He is silly and always doing something crazy for a laugh. Well balanced with brains and charisma...you make me smile daily sweet boy! Compassionate to the core and loves his four-legged friends. He's the guy you want around when you are having a bad day, laughs and snuggles won't be far behind. Adores his big brother and tries hard to be nice to his little sister. Best brother ever! Keep being you B. You make me a better mama!
Hayden:
This girl is spunky! As Cameron said the other day, "She's cute and sassy!" and oh boy is she! Smart but too busy to sit and do book work - learning and laughing on the go is more her style. Imagination for miles and always a friend to animals furry and stuffed alike. Still wants to be little and says she won't get married or have kids (although one time she said she would maybe have kids). Never met a kid she didn't like and wouldn't play with - as long as they can pretend they are animals. A bit stubborn but not to a fault' just enough to be a leader and ward off the bully one day. Talks about every thought, questions everything that needs clarification, and laughs at all things funny. Makes up her own songs and dances to anything with a beat. Life is a song or dance waiting to happen with this girl. Keep dancing baby girl, the world is better because of you!
