Time certainly does have a way of flying sometimes. We have had a busy November and I have the pictures to prove it! Unfortunately, no post to show for it, so this is an attempt to catch you up.
The weather has been perfect this month and the kids have had a blast playing outside. Their adventures have included "baling hay" and my personal favorite (with much sarcasm implied) a mud pit. Somehow, "Mom can I get a pale of water?" turned into 3 Mud Kids in the backyard. The neighbors thought it was hilarious! I have to admit when they would slip and fall, it was pretty funny, but it was a true MESS! Not to worry, nobody was hurt and although the temp wasn't quite warm enough to really be playing in the water, no one got sick either.
This month has also had lots of soccer going on! Both boys played and did fantastic. My overview of the season goes like this: Cameron - the Energizer Bunny. He just kept running and running and running! He is turning into more of a defensive player then offense (fine by this defensive momma's standards) but he still managed a goal this year and was one heck of a goalie too. Bryant - assistant coach. He could have easily played up this season, but the league changed the rules and won't allow that anymore. So, he decided to not only be the star player on his team averaging about 6 goals a game, but he also became the assistance coach on the field and helped his teammates figure out where to go and what to do. It was pretty entertaining to watch from the sidelines :)
Of course, we didn't forget Halloween! Cal and I were actually out of town (basking on the sunny beaches of Mexico) on Halloween night, so we hit a Halloween Carnival the weekend before and then left poor Grandma to scour the neighborhood with 3 fun kids! The word on the street is that Grandma did good and if the amount of candy was any indication, she did awesome!
Daddy celebrated his birthday this month too (sheesh, are you getting tired yet?)! It was low key this year, but he did score a date night with Hayden and I, a camping stove, and a chocolate cake that was pretty scrumptious if I do say so myself (in all fairness it is his recipe).
Thanksgiving happened to be this month too, imagine that! We spent most of the week in San Antonio and the boys were super excited to go hunting with Daddy (Bryant's first time). Unfortunately, they only managed a coyote but they had so much fun they didn't even care. Smores, shooting BB guns, dinner at the local Mexican food joint, and uninterrupted time with Daddy, they were in heaven! I'm sure Daddy would say the same thing :) Just to be fair, my sister managed to get a deer on the way down (she and I and all 5 kids). She cheated and used her car, but cuddos to her, she hit her well!
Wow! That was November, with 2 days to spare anyway. Lots of crazy fun happening in this house!!
