B's Big Day

Yesterday we celebrated a milestone. B is officially potty trained!!!! OK... in reality he "got it" right before Hayden was born (a year ago) but since then he has been having accidents at home about once a week or every other week. The plus side to that is it is at home and not in public, but lets face it, if you were the one cleaning it you would be frustrated too. So, we told him a few months ago that when he went a whole month with no accidents we would take him to ride a train. That did it. Yesterday was the day!

We stopped for pizza at CiCi's and then headed into Fort Worth to the train outside the zoo. He was so excited! He had the choice of going by himself or taking everyone with him and he choose to take the whole family -- so sweet :). He was jumping around and clapping as the train approached the station and had a huge smile on his face. We kept telling him what a big boy he was and that it was "his day". That made him smile even bigger! The ride lasted about 45 minutes. Perfect timing because the boys attention span was just about out and my legs were protesting the close quarters (he chose to sit on the back of the train, although I'm not so sure the other cars were any better). Daddy decided to prolong the outing and we went to the park. They played there another hour or so and even managed to sweet talk Daddy into a little ice cream -- Cameron picked a Spiderman popsicle with gumball eyes and Bryant a neapolitan ice cream sandwich.

We all had a GREAT day together and I loved letting Bryant be the center of attention for the day. Thanks Cameron for being an awesome big brother and not complaining once. We need more days like this one!
