Camp Davis

Well, the boys had their first official camp-out. Yes, you are correct, this is a June post in Texas and it is 100 degrees outside! Daddy and the boys braved the heat and met up with several other dads and had a "father-son" camping trip. They ate hot dogs, road the gator, went fishing (or freed the minnows as Daddy told the story), and camped in a tent (sorta).
If you know my boys (all 3 of them) you also know that dissipating body heat by sweating is not a problem for them. That being said, Daddy skipped the tent and slept inside the air-conditioned building. Now, before you give him too hard a time let me state that the low for the night was 80 and someone else had brought a fan for their tent... and if that isn't enough, before the night was over Cameron had made his way inside because the tent he started out in was "too hot and the ground was too hard". What happened to Bryant? He slept in the tent all night probably sweating his little head off sleeping on a rock. Ok, I added the last part but he is one tough boy! All-in-all a successful trip, but Daddy said he wasn't camping again until late fall or early spring!

Oh... Hayden and I had a girls night with the other Mommy's left home alone. I know, it was a tough night for all of us :)
